We are delighted to have been selected by the Queen’s Redoubt Trust to construct a barracks building in the same construction style that would have been used in the 1860s.
Queen’s Redoubt was the launching pad for the July 1863 British invasion, which began the Waikato War and the Queen’s Redoubt Trust has been fundraising for some time to be able to build here and fulfill their goal of developing the site as a major educational and visitor destination. This will enable them to promote knowledge and understanding of the 19th century New Zealand Wars between Maori and Europeans, and their consequences.
Harrison Lane is proud to have helped bring The Queens Redoubt 1860s Barracks Style Building project to fruition.
