Oakbrae Equestrian Stable Complex (Oxford Design)

Taupaki, NW of Auckland

November 30, 2011

This impressive stable complex is a great example of what can be achieved with careful consideration and plenty of advice from people experienced in the design and construction of equine facilities. During the design phase the team at Harrison Lane were able to take the client on a tour of previously completed stables to help illustrate the many options available and to point out the elements of good stable design.

It is a large facility (660m2 floor area + 50m2 deck) featuring:

  • 5 open stalls,
  • 2 stable boxes,
  • tack room,
  • covers room,
  • feed room,
  • equine truck and boat shed,
  • 3m wide breezeway
  • and a second floor apartment with a deck overlooking the arena.

This is a superb facility that has without a doubt added more value than cost to the property.

At Harrison Lane most of our business is repeat and referral from past satisfied customers.  As a result we always strive to exceed our customers expectations by delivering a superb building experience and outcome. Accordingly we were very proud to receive the following testimonial from this client:

“It was great to have Harrison Lane involved in our stable complex right from the early planning stages. Their experience and advice was invaluable to us during the critical design phase. Ensuring that I looked at many different stable complexes, built for different clients, was very helpful.   From this we gained a lot of clarity on our design. We are thrilled with the way the new barn functions for us and their helpful team made the building process as stress free as possible. On a final note, we are also pleased to say that they do follow up their clients and give great after sales service.”
