Laura was recently invited to take on the role of the Registered Master Builders Association Southern Branch Chair. Taking over from Nathan from Navigation Homes and the great work he has put into the branch to date.
The Southern Branch sits under the Auckland branch to provide local Master Builder members a productive point of interaction with fellow members and the industry. Its purpose is to foster an environment of support and encouragement that empowers members to continue providing quality construction services.
As the Southern Branch Chair, Laura will collaborate with members and the Auckland committee to lead positive activity within the branch. Members meet regularly for training and networking events that include industry speakers and supplier factory tours, ensuring members stay across industry developments and gain a deeper knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
Laura and the committee act as a conduit between the Southern Branch members and the RMBA, encouraging discussion, feedback and insight.
Harrison Lane became registered Master Builders in 2018, signifying the entry into the market of the Country Homes offering. The catalyst for registration was a request from a very special client who declared, “Scott and Laura, I want to win an award with this build”.
This first-ever entry into the House of the Year awards went exceptionally well, with the said project receiving a Gold Award and the Regional Lifestyle Award for Sustainability.
Meeting the stringent criteria and becoming registered Master Builders was a no-brainer, aligning with Scott and Laura’s commitment to continuous improvement of product delivery, craftsmanship and service.
“When we joined Master Builders 5 years ago, I remember attending an event where the speaker said, “You’ll get out of master builders what you put in” says Laura.
“The awards we have received since are an important recognition for our team of the hard work they put in daily. We have found incredible value in the guidance, resources and backing from The Master Builders Association.
The opportunity to contribute to the Southern branch means I can offer support and guidance to members in the same way others took the time to offer us.”
